Recently, both ASTM and ACI have released policies on the use of AI when it comes to their standards, guides, codes, and other resources.  The policies are helping to ensure that the materials maintain their integrity and are protected against copyright infringement and the dissemination of incorrect information or advice.   

For both groups, the entry of any intellectual property such as document or committee work is prohibited in any form of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, open or closed.  

As the use of AI increases in both our workplaces and at home, more and more companies will likely be creating policies to safeguard information and change the way we use AI.
